- Before placing them in water, trim about 2 cm off each stem at an angle with a clean knife.
- Remove any leaves that would sit below the waterline: they cloud the water quickly.
- Change the water every two days and re-trim the stems slightly each time.
- Keep them away from direct sun, heat sources, drafts and ripening fruit.
- Roses: if a head droops, re-trim the stem and let it rest in cool water for a few hours.
The Just Because Special pairs one dozen plump red roses with decadent Belgian truffles (100g), a cuddly teddy bear, and a 9-inch Mylar 'I Love You' balloon. A full-size greeting card comes along too, ready for your own words.
It's a lovely way to say I love you without a reason needed - or simply to let someone know they're on your mind.
If you'd like the roses displayed the moment they arrive, tucking them into a simple mason jar or vase is an easy touch worth adding.
Fleur Concept puts this bundle together with same-day delivery across Canada, so surprise someone today, just because.
